Hello! I’m Leslye. Born and raised in New Orleans, I moved to Mandeville, LA a few years ago. That move brought on a more suburban lifestyle. Currently, I have a ‘day job’ in Human Resources, but my creative side is still extremely vital to my survival (remember – suburban life). My husband is in the military, and I am extremely proud to be his partner. We have two girls – Elianna and Isabella. Unfortunately, they’re going through that phase in which they hate being photographed. I’m hoping that turns around soon.
Sugarberry photography was a name developed from a tree that is largely grown in Louisiana- and it’s hard to destruct. I found the tree on the first date with husband after he returned from his first tour in Iraq. I have been on an incredible journey, picking up new skills, adventures, and friendships along the way.
I am inspired by music, New Orleans, architecture (especially when destroyed), and stories with depth. I want my pictures to express a story that invokes feelings in the viewer. I love history, and I am trying to capture many places and buildings before disappearing forever.
I am in a cool position in life in which my girls are growing up. My oldest is in Irish dance competitively, and I use that as a way to explore new places.
I have links to find me – I hope that you will join me on my journey!
